7th Annual Australian F5J Trophy and NSW F5J State Championships Armidale 3-5 October 2026
Event information
The Australian Electric Flight Association F5J Trophy will again be run in conjunction with the NSW State F5J Championships in Armidale on October 3-5 2026.
The event will run to International F5J rules. Score entry will use the phone application linked to Gliderscore. Please bring a phone, or team with someone who can help you enter your scores. We will use FM radios located on the flight line for audio announcement and timing. If you have a FM Radio, please bring it along. Visual timing boards will also be in use.
Entry will be as teams of two.
In the past the AEFA F5J trophy has had several categories (e.g. Expert, Advanced) of competitor. Because the F5J trophy is being run in conjunction with the NSW State Championships, this year there will be no separate categories of competitors. Everyone will be treated equally. However, if you fly a model of wingspan less than 3m (limited F5J class) we will extract scores and award a separate prize for that class.
The field will be available for practice flying on Friday October 2. The event will be run from 9am Saturday 3rd to Approx 1pm Monday 5th. Saturday and Sunday will be qualifying rounds (10 mins) and fly-off rounds (15 mins) will be run on Monday. All fliers will participate in the fly-off rounds.
